Where do you want to be?

Rooms are somewhere you have to get to at nine in the morning, so the city is the first thing that decides whether any of this works for you.

We guessed this from your connection. It is a guess.

Rooms are open in

Nowhere else yet. Rooms on a call work from wherever you are, and they show up whatever you pick here.

People to getshit done with

Tell Jamal what you're working on. He finds you somewhere in Lisbon to do it, the first morning is free, and he introduces you to the people who are there for the same reason.

Leave your number

No account, no password, nothing published. He messages you once. Say it is not for you and that is the end of it.

How it goes

Three things, and one of them is yours

  1. You leave your number

A line about the work if you feel like it. That is the whole form, and it is the last one you fill in.

  2. Jamal asks what you need

By voice or by message, whichever you answer. Which part of town, which mornings, what you are trying to finish, and who you would rather not be sat beside.

  3. You get a desk, and the people

Somewhere in Lisbon that fits how you actually work, first morning free. Then he tells you who else is in on Thursday and why you would want to meet them.

Who is Jamal

The one who asks,so you neverfill in a form

Part person, part software, and he will tell you which is which if you ask him. Everything a questionnaire would have wanted, he asks in a conversation, and he remembers the answers.

He will never pretend to be somebody he is not. Ask him what he is and you get a straight answer.

Three ways to answer him

  • Talk to him

Press once and say it out loud. Faster than typing, and he asks better questions when he can hear you think.

The voice line opens shortly. Leave your number and he will start it himself.

  • Text him

He picks up on SMS, and on WhatsApp and Telegram as those open. Answer at a red light, finish it on the sofa.

  • Type it here

The form above is the short version. Two fields, and he takes it from there.

    Leave your number

What it costs

The first morning costs nothing.

After that, membership starts at €99.99 a month. What you pay turns on how often you want a desk and where you want it, so Jamal works it out with you instead of handing you a table to decode.

The things around the work, dinner afterwards, a walk before, somebody to surf with on Saturday, are being built now. He will ask what you would actually turn up to.

We are still signing places. If the one you want is not on the list yet, he will say so rather than book you somewhere that does not fit.

So what areyou workingon?
