What we knowabout you
You can read this in two minutes, which is the point. We ask for a phone number and what you are working on, because that is what an introduction needs. We do not sell it, we do not advertise on it, and you can have it deleted by asking.

Who this is
there is a coworking concierge operated from Lisbon, Portugal. We decide what happens to the details on this page, which makes us the controller under the GDPR.
Write to hello@there.pt about anything here, including having your details deleted.
What you give us
The form asks for a first name and a mobile number, and optionally an email. After that it asks three optional questions: which parts of town suit you, what would help most, and what you are working on.
Filling it in does not create an account and does not sign you in. It puts a row in a queue that a person reads, keyed to a cookie in your browser so your answers come back to you if you return.
What Jamal hears
Jamal is our concierge. He is software with a voice, and he says so if you ask. If you call or message him, he asks the same things the form does and a few more: how you like to work, what you are good at, what you would like help with, and — only if you offer it — something outside work you would like your group to have in common.
The call runs through ElevenLabs, who process it for us. We keep the written transcript and a short summary. We do not keep the audio. If you call, we see the number you called from.
He is told never to ask for card details, passwords or ID numbers. If he ever does, do not give them, and tell us.
What the site records by itself
Our host keeps ordinary server logs — the page, the time, an IP address — for a short period, which is how any website stays up and how abuse is spotted.
We count what happens in the product — how many people signed up this week, how many groups formed — on our own server, without cookies and without sending anything to an advertising network. There is no Meta pixel, no Google tag and no third-party tracker on this site.
Cookies
Three, and all of them are doing a job: one that remembers the answers you have given the form, one that remembers your language, and one that signs you in if you have an account.
That is why there is no cookie banner in front of this site. There is nothing here to consent to beyond what makes the page work.
Who else sees it
The small team that runs there. A new signup also posts to a private team channel on Telegram, so somebody picks it up the same day.
The companies that run the machinery, and only for that: Vercel (hosting), Neon (the database), ElevenLabs (the voice line), Telnyx (the phone number), Telegram (team notifications), Stripe (payments, if you ever pay us) and PostHog (the counts, on their EU servers). Where one of them is outside the EU, the transfer rests on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision.
We do not sell your details and we do not pass them to advertisers. When we introduce you to somebody, we tell each of you what the other is working on and why you might get on — never your number, until you both say yes.
How long we keep it
Until the round you asked about is finished, and for twelve months after we last heard from you, so that a person who comes back in the spring is not a stranger. Then we delete it or strip it of anything that names you.
Ask us sooner and we do it sooner. Money records — invoices, if you ever pay us — we have to keep for as long as Portuguese tax law says.
What you can ask for
A copy of what we hold, a correction, a deletion, or that we stop using it. Email hello@there.pt and we will do it within a month, usually the same week.
To stop the messages, reply STOP to any of them, or tell Jamal, or email us. That works on its own — you do not have to give a reason.
If we get it wrong you can complain to the Portuguese data protection authority, the CNPD, or to the one where you live.
Age
there is for adults. Do not sign up if you are under 18.
Changes
If this changes in a way that matters, we will say so on this page and, if you have given us a number, in a message. The date at the top is when it last changed.
